Few F1 holiday companies will have the ability to put together such a special Hanoi F1 experience. Our daughter Kathryn lived and worked in Vietnam and through frequent family visits to Vietnam we have got to know the country, its culture and in anticipation of F1 coming to Vietnam, developed associations and friendships with Vietnamese travel and motorcycle adventure companies. It is through these relationships that we built such a fantastic Hanoi F1 package.

The circuit was designed by Tilke with the help of the F1 Teams and combines a street track with a permanent track layout within the confines of the city. This creates a racetrack that is demanding for the drivers while still providing several overtaking opportunities.
Many parts of the circuit are inspired by other popular racetracks, Turns 1 and 2 for example are reminiscent of the first two corners of the Nurburgring. Many fans will also recognise the sector from Turn 12 to Turn 15 because it’s very similar to the first two turns of Monaco. Parts of Suzuka and Sepang were also incorporated into the design of the circuit.
Soak up the best views and enjoy a feeling of luxury in the Gold Lounge.

Located on the Start/Finish Line this Grandstand is the most premium option. Providing views of the entire pit straight, as well as the cars storming into the first corner, and around the final bend.
Located on the Pit Straight, this Premium Grandstand will arguably provide the best view at the circuit. You will have great views of the straight, including the starting grid and the pits, as well as views of Turns 1, 2, 3 and 4. All the exciting moments of the race are bound to happen here!
This grandstand is sure to witness some adrenaline fuelled racing as the cars storm into the first corner of the race.
This Grandstand will give you panoramic views of one of the longest straights in Formula One, as well witnessing the drivers navigate the tight corners of Turns 6, 7, 8 and 9.
Get to know your fellow guests for the MotoExpress Hanoi F1. The reception will be held in the hotel bar and will include typically local snack, beers and soft drinks. We will talk about the weekend ahead and explain the layout of the hotel and your local surroundings.
Ha Long Bay is one of Vietnam’s most popular and visited sites. And, unfortunately, most exploited by tourism too. Is there a way to escape the crowds?
What most don’t know is that this natural phenomenon consists of three sections, with Bai Tu Long Bay in the Northwest, Ha Long Bay in central and Lan Ha Bay in the south. Geologically, all three are almost identical which is why locals and tourists alike acknowledge it as a part of the vast Ha Long Bay zone. So if you’re not in it for the Ha Long Bay “brand” but care about the experience, we have something very special for you.
Lan Ha Bay, the southern part, has gradually gained popularity thanks to its unspoiled and magnificent natural beauty, and as people look for pristine destinations. On our private adventure experience this beautiful natural wonder that comprises of over 2,000 limestone karsts jutting out of emerald waters.
To create the very best adventure, your private guide and you will stave off the popular tourist path, and head on to explore the beautiful region of Lan Ha Bay. A day full of activities awaits!
After a leisurely breakfast you will transferred to the new Hanoi Grand Prix circuit. Being one of the first fans to this exciting circuit will be an experience in itself. After the final qualifying session you will return to the hotel by private transfer.
Hanoi is the birthplace of many delicious Vietnamese dishes, including the de-facto national dish, Pho. Join us on this unique and fulfilling journey as we navigate Hanoi’s street food-filled alleyways by motorbike (pillion).
Beyond enjoying the deliciously authentic Hanoian food, expect some sightseeing as you drive around lakes to catch sunsets, cross bridges, and snake through the beautiful Hanoi Old Quarter with lots of colonial buildings and other sights to see. Once the tour is over and you are full to the brim, you will be returned to the hotel for a good night’s sleep.
Note: Whilst other modes of transportation are available (extra charge), we highly recommend the motorbike option, as it is the most authentic way to really feel like a local. Make sure to let us know of any dietary restrictions so we can personalise your itinerary for the most yummy experience.
Once again after breakfast a private transfer to the Hanoi circuit. Hanoi will be the fourth street circuit on the F1 Calendar for 2020, alongside Monaco, Singapore and Azerbaijan, and it is primed to become one of the most challenging circuits in F1. Borrowing features from the likes of the Nurburgring and Suzuka Circuit the track is set to run 5.57km and include 22 skill testing corners. The circuit’s designers - Tilke - have brought us tracks like the Circuit of The Americas and Abi Dhabi’s Yas Marina, both now iconic in the world of Formula One. Hanoi will also feature one of the longest straights we’ve seen in the sport, at 1.5km long we predict the cars will accelerate up to speeds of around 335km/h. It’s safe to say we are all waiting on the edge of our seats in anticipation to see what the circuit has in store for F1.
We take over a local restaurant for an evening of celebration, dining and drinking! A fitting end to a wonderful inaugural Hanoi F1 Grand Prix.
The main airport in Hanoi is the Noi Bai International Airport. Travel time from airport to our event hotel is approximately 40 minutes. No matter what time of day you arrive you will find the vibrant travel scenes to be an essential part of the holiday. You can book airport transfers during the online booking of the event.
UK Passport Holders Until 30 June 2021, ‘British Citizen’ passport holders travelling for tourism or business can enter Vietnam for up to a maximum of 15 days (inclusive of dates of entry and exit) without a visa. If you have a different type of British nationality – for example ‘British national (overseas)’ you’ll need to get a visa before entering Vietnam.
For visits of up to 30 days, you can get an e-visa online before you travel. Use of the e-visa is limited to certain entry/exit points which you must select at the time of application. E-visa is only applicable to ‘British Citizen’ passport holders. If you don’t have fixed travel plans, consider applying for a regular single entry visa from the nearest Vietnamese Embassy, which allows more flexibility.
All other Passport Holders The easiest way for visitors to obtain a Vietnamese visa is to apply for a visa on arrival online at myvietnamvisa.com. You can complete your visa application in just a few simple steps, receive the visa approval letter by email in 3-5 working days and print out the documents to pick up the visa upon arrival at Vietnam airport.
Best Practice You should also check Visa requirements with your airline to ensure compliance with the latest visa requirements. If you are flying into and out of different airports in Vietnam you should also seek confirmation of Visa requirements with your airline.
Circuit Transfers Circuit transfers are include for Saturday and Sunday. Distance is 12 km and travel time is approximately 30 minutes.
During the race weekend we capture the spirit of the event in photos which we publish in the MotoExpress Photo Album for your lasting enjoyment.
As 2020 will be the very first Hanoi F1 there are no photos of the event or race. But I decided to post some of my favourite photos taken by the Sinker family during visits to Vietnam. I hope you enjoy them and that they may inspire you to book our inaugural Hanoi F1 package.
We welcome guests from our inaugural 2020 Hanoi F1 to email us after the event with details of their Hanoi experience.
